Meet The WINR Team
Patricia Henderson is a shining example of what can be accomplished in long-term recovery. She started WINR to help address the lack of quality recovery services that were available for women. Patricia now operates a CARF Accredited 4 month Extended Care Treatment Program, a 7-month Sober Recovery Program, and an Intensive Outpatient Clinic. She has been working with addicts and alcoholics for over 30 years. Patricia is an expert in peer-driven recovery support services and has served as Project Director for SAMHSA Grants.
Patricia was instrumental in the formation of the Arizona Recovery Housing Association (AZRHA), the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and one of the founding members of Women’s Global Alliance. She has also served on the Board for the Association of Halfway Houses Alcoholism Programs of North America (AHHAP) and on the Board of Casa de Amigas, which is the oldest women’s treatment center in Arizona. In 2008, she was the recipient of the Jack King Pioneer Award for her work in the recovery field. Patricia was also received Sierra Tuscon’s award for “Action” in 2009. She is a sought after public speaker and has delivered multiple presentations including Women Across the Life Span (a national conference presentation of Women, Addiction & Recovery) and a CSAT Session “Two Key Allies: Recovering Women as Partners in Treatment Organizations.” She was involved in the television special report, “Moms on Meth: Wrath of Addiction.” Patricia loves what she does and it certainly shows.
Clinical Director, LISAC
Karen Barraclough is an Arizona Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor and is the outpatient therapist for WINR’s outpatient program Amazing Recovery. Previously, she was the Women’s Manager at Crossroads for 10 years and a peer support for the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD). Being in recovery herself, she has a passion for working with women who are in early sobriety. She has spent the last 17 years helping addicts. In her time away from WINR, she enjoys being with extended family.
Dr. Cho Long Kim
Dr. Kim is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor who earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her scope of practice has included Naturopathic Addiction Medicine, Environmental Medicine, Pharmacology, Minor Surgery, Homeopathy, Nutrition, Acupuncture, Botanical medicine, and Physical manipulation. She utilizes a combination of Naturopathic and Allopathic Modalities to support the healing process. Dr. Kim stays involved in the professional community to ensure that every therapy that is offered continues to be safe, effective, and on the cutting edge of science.
Alicja M. Robak, BA
Alicja recently had moved from Chicago, IL. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Business from National Louis University in 2001 after she emigrated from Europe, Poland in 1994.
Alicja is a key member of our team. She does it all and will always be available to get answers to your questions or greet you with a smile. Alicja uses her spare time outdoors, exercising, making jewelry, spending time with family, and enjoying her sons.
Heather is the Executive Assistant to the Patty Henderson, CEO of WINR. She is also a graduate of the residential and transitional living programs at WINR. She has a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Web Design and has a creative and “Awesome Geek” personality that keeps WINR in the forefront for technology changes. Heather is a fan of the Yoda quote “Do or do not, there is no try”.

Denise Wagner is a celebrated leader in the field of addiction. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Northeast Missouri State and her masters studies were done at Arizona State University where she taught for several years. Since then she has worked tirelessly to improve her knowledge and expertise in the many differing views to treat addiction. She has appeared on radio shows speaking on addiction and recovery and is a Mesa, Arizona business leader.
Because of her deep desire to save the lives of people who are suffering from alcohol and drug dependency, Denise does not hesitate to develop classes that speak to the urgency of addiction. She will put every ounce of effort into helping you heal your core issues and returning you to a life of freedom. Denise believes that the WINR program of treatment isn’t merely a residential drug rehab center; it is a program that overcomes addiction while setting you up for success in life!
Chris Herzog has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and has been a facilitator for 25 years. She is the president of C.J. Herzog Consulting, a program design and delivery corporation. Ms. Herzog has contracted with WINR for the past 16 years and facilitates a Family Support Group. She worked for 13 years with incarcerated women in recovery from substance abuse both at the Maricopa County Jail and at Perryville State Prison.
Ms. Herzog understands the issues a family experiences when dealing with an addicted loved one. Her only sibling was an addict most of his life and ultimately passed away from his disease. Her passion is to offer information, assistance and empathy to others that find themselves in the same situation. Ms. Herzog enjoys photography, especially traveling to “off-the-beaten-path” places to shoot scenic photos. She is also close to her daughters and granddaughters.
Stacey is a 500RYT with certifications in Yoga Nidra, Hatha Gong, Yin, Transformational Yoga Coaching, Sound Healing, Reiki (Level 3), and Holistic Nutrition Coaching.
Certified Peer Recovery Coach
Wendy is our facilitator for the Vibro Acoustic Therapy Lounge. She has a background in the music industry as well as cosmetology with 32 years of experience. She is a mother, wife, and WINR Alumni.
Wendy helps residents here at WINR to find their inner balance and peace and its one of her greatest passions. She also enjoys her family, friends, and writing and singing in her home studio with her husband of almost 30 years.
Behavior Health Technician (BHT)
Sandra is a former graduate of the WINR program. Being in recovery herself, she has a concrete understanding of the struggles, consequences, and progression of the disease of addiction. Her goal is to inspire the women in treatment by offering them therapeutic support. She enjoys spending time with her family and husband who is also in recovery.
Behavior Health Technician (BHT)
Heather spent two years in Prescott, Arizona recovering from addiction. Upon completion of the program, she was hired by the same rehab facility as a house manager, assisting other women on the road to recovery. Heather then moved back to Phoenix and began the next chapter of her life by working for WINR as a BHT. She continues being passionate about helping others, finishing school; and plans to become a nurse. Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family members and friends (especially at favorite restaurants, shopping, going to zoos and movies), while fully experiencing a balanced, peaceful, productive and happy life.

Gina is a WINR Legacy program graduate. Her goal is to show these women that the program does work. Gina understands their struggles. Her compassion comes from having once been where they are now, and her happiness comes from watching the women blossom. One day at time ~ we can live life on life terms.
Grief Recovery Specialist
Linda has been a Grief Recovery Specialist since 2001 and has held classes at WINR since 2009 and has helped over 250 women through the grief process. She has personally utilized the program to deal with losses of her own, including divorce and the deaths of her mother, son and granddaughter.
She has a BA in Education from ASU and taught in the public school system for 23 years. Each class is a safe, confidential and personal experience.
